Shanna is an extraordinary storyteller whose passion for narratives began in her childhood days of imaginative play. From captivating real-life tales to the enchantment of fables and myths, Shanna has always been drawn to the power of stories to impart truth.
With over 18 years of experience in the film, TV, and reality TV industry, Shanna utilizes her diverse skill set to craft stories across various mediums. She has produced compelling digital content, including e-books, podcasts, interviews, and mini documentaries for non-profit organizations and corporate entities. Additionally, she has worked on an impressive slate of short and full-length feature projects, collaborating with clients ranging from indie productions to major networks.
Since 2020, Shanna has partnered with Jeff Gold of My Calm World to write, perform, and produce multiple albums of children's bedtime audio stories, music, and meditations. She has also co-written, produced, and published a collection of original music and video projects spanning various genres under the banner of Fire & Water Music.
Shanna's artistic journey, in front of the camera and behind the mic, encompasses acting, voiceover work, storytelling, and emceeing. Her ability to connect with audiences of all ages allows her to leave a lasting impact on diverse communities.
Beyond her creative pursuits, Shanna is an ardent humanitarian deeply committed to equality and inclusion. She actively mentors and employs young individuals on the autism spectrum within her business and brands, while also supporting nonprofits and local initiatives that aid those in need, both humans and animals alike.
Having personally experienced the impact of natural disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina in her home state, Shanna has volunteered her time and resources to offer immediate relief and long-term assistance to affected communities. Through independent filmmaking, she also captures the stories of survivors and relief workers, aiming to improve future response efforts.
Shanna's filmography includes a series of impactful short films addressing social issues in the United States, as well as video projects in India supporting a school for disabled children and raising awareness about the challenges faced by eunuchs in Indian society. She also served as a Consulting Producer on the groundbreaking documentary "Restoring Balance: Autism Recovery" by Ryan Hetrick, exploring possibilities for autism recovery.
After collaborating with Tracee Dundas of New Orleans Fashion Week for nearly 8 years, Shanna founded the Chattanooga Fashion Expo. This thriving event, which held successful multi-day events from 2021-2023, serves as a platform for fashion and accessory designers, models, hair and makeup professionals, providing education, competition, and elevation within the industry. Additionally, she co-designed a unique jewelry piece called "Wing Woman" with Gayl Pinnock of Vintage and Divinity, with proceeds benefiting Girls Inc. in Chattanooga.
Throughout her career, Shanna has orchestrated events worldwide, ranging from film festivals and screenings to large-scale fashion showcases and non-profit fundraisers. Notably, she holds the Guinness World Record for executing the largest Easter Egg Hunt ever organized.
Originally hailing from South Louisiana, Shanna now splits her time primarily between her personal land and studio in Rising Fawn, GA (near Chattanooga, TN) and Los Angeles, CA. However, she travels regularly to India and Europe and her heart remains deeply connected to New Orleans, the city she fondly calls "home".
